Solidarity HealthShare was designed for Catholics, “in partnership with a small Mennonite church in Ohio.” This Mennonite church already had its own sharing program (Liberty HealthShare) and agreed to help create another one catered toward Catholics. Solidarity HealthShare is a health cost sharing ministry of an existing group, Melita Christian Fellowship Hospital Aid Plan, that has been sharing costs since 1977.
